SPECIAL EARLY ADMISSION//////////// This early admission allows you to grab items from the capsule collection early. Certain items are available in very limited quantities, sometimes as few as one or two, so this gives you access before anyone else. There will still be items for the general public to purchase. It is first come, first served, but this gives you exclusive access to be the first in the building and to check out Unspoken and more than February's Doomsday capsule collection. Participants must be at Unspoken at 5:30 pm on Oct 29th and must purchase their items before 6 pm, when the general public will be let in.
DOOMSDAY is an MF DOOM-themed group art exhibition celebrating the life, legacy, music, and unmistakable visual identity of one of hip-hop’s most influential and mysterious artists.
Presented in partnership with Unspoken and More Than February Art Gallery, and sponsored by Travel Oregonand OTCA, the exhibition brings together artists, designers, makers, and community partners working across painting, illustration, sculpture, fashion, tattoo art, design, and mixed media to reinterpret the world of MF DOOM through their own creative lens.
Timed around the anniversary of DOOM’s passing, DOOMSDAY is both a tribute and a celebration—honoring an artist whose impact extended far beyond music. From the iconic metal mask and comic-book-inspired mythology to his intricate lyricism, production, humor, and fiercely independent spirit, MF DOOM created a universe that continues to inspire artists, musicians, designers, and fans around the world.
The exhibition will feature original artwork and special installations inspired by DOOM, including sculpture, collectible objects, apparel, prints, collaborative pieces, and one-of-a-kind interpretations of the mask, music, and mythology surrounding his work.
As part of the event, Como La Flor will be offering a special MF DOOM Flash Tattoo Sheet, giving guests the opportunity to take home a permanent piece inspired by DOOM’s iconic imagery and legacy. The flash designs will be created specifically for the exhibition, adding a live tattoo element to the larger celebration of art, music, and culture.
The show will also feature special collaborations and contributions from Cal Skate, Orox Leather, and Deadstock Coffee, bringing skate culture, leather craftsmanship, design, and Portland creative culture into the exhibition. These collaborations help expand DOOMSDAY beyond a traditional gallery show and into a multidisciplinary celebration of the many worlds that intersect with MF DOOM’s influence.
Guests can also expect an MF DOOM-inspired photo booth, music, limited merchandise, raffles, collectible pieces, and special installations created specifically for the event.
At its core, DOOMSDAY is about bringing together art, hip-hop, community, independent creativity, and local culture while giving artists and makers a space to celebrate a cultural figure whose influence remains deeply present. It is a tribute not only to MF DOOM himself, but to the creative freedom, experimentation, and individuality that his work continues to represent.
